SafeMate is a digital emergency management system that provides paramedics and other first responders with medical information that could assist them in a crisis. After purchasing a SafeMate device, you are required to enter the medical information that you would like to be available to paramedics in the case of an emergency. The first responder will then have the ability to scan your SafeMate device and provide fast and effective treatment.

At this stage the Queensland Ambulance Service has the ability to access the information on SafeMate devices (mobile coverage dependent). However, we expect other states in Australia will follow soon!
ICE data is unfortunately not encrypted, which is a chief concern for many. All information that is input on SafeMate servers is privacy protected and can only be accessed by paramedics and first responders in the event of emergency. We are also endorsed specifically by Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS), so you know you’re in safe hands.
SafeMate is a unique health service, encrypting your personal and medical information. The $10 monthly or $96 yearly charge goes towards providing this service and financing its necessity of use.
SafeMate services come as a kit consisting of a card and two stickers. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, wristbands are not available.
